Getting back into the ‘core.

I’m going to start going to hardcore and metal shows again. I really loved when I would go to shows at 688 back in ‘06. The feeling of brotherhood and unity is unlike any other, and the energy there is very much abundant, especially at edge shows. Plus, hardcore just fucking rocks. Such great music, as simple as it may sound sometimes. Feeling really pumped up about Kids Like Us / Mongoloids next week, it’ll be my first core show in 2 years. Plus, it’s an edge show! What is better than that?

Something I made. It’s really simple but means a lot to me:

Take Matters into your Own Hands

One of my most important beliefs as an Anarchist is the abolishment of law, and more importantly law enforcement. I believe that vigilante justice is far better than robotic enforcement of scribed laws that are completely subjective and blind to experience.  For instance, if a guy rapes a small girl, he will go to jail. He will be behind bars, while the girl is left traumatized, in a ”emotional jail” if you will. He’ll also eventually get out and be out on the streets again. There is no light at the end of the tunnel for most rape victims. Their lives are ruined.

Now, this does not deter other rapists from commiting similar acts. Also, if someone is messed up enough to rape a person, I doubt that they even care if they are in jail. But, if the local community had direct action and let the victim take all of her anger out on the rapist with a baseball bat while he is tied to a telephone pole, it would not only inflict harm to the rapist as he did to the victim, but the victim would also have major emotional relief knowing that she got even with the man that did so much harm to her.

Why do we need law enforcement? Are we really THAT lazy to take matters into our own hands? If someone breaks into your house, deal with it immediately yourself and inflict so much harm to the perpetrator that he doesn’t think about thinking about doing anything like it again. Why dial 911 and WAIT 15 minutes while the robber gets away? Such bullshit.

Communities working together can fully eradicate crime by direct action, and not some steel handcuffs and isolation in a box.
